A tribute to the movement and talent of figure skater Petra Burka, this short uses 1960s footage and original music inspired by the performance to create a moving design, etched on ice.
Innocence on Ice premièred at the Moving Pictures Festival of Dance on Film and Video 2004, where it received an Honourable Mention for direction. “Using minimal resources, this film managed to recreate the innocence of sport from a very different time.” This is director Astra Burka’s directorial debut.
